Quantitative Engineer, Platform and MLOps

Research only matters if it runs every day, at volume, at a cost that makes sense. You build the foundation that makes that true.

At Infinity Loop, we build Negotiation Intelligence that connects contracts, proposals, supplier context and market data to help procurement teams identify leverage and develop commercial negotiation strategies. Reliable data and traceable evidence are central to the product we’re building.

You build and improve the pipelines the product depends on, keeping them reliable, fast and cost-efficient as volume grows. You make the platform observable and resilient, and build the tools that let the team measure cost and quality on every run.

What would you build?

• Pipelines you can trust. Build monitoring and alerts that help the team diagnose failures, and strengthen safeguards against silent errors.
• Scale for bulk work. Batching, retries, and queueing for large workloads.
• Cost you can see. Meter model spend per project and use case, and drive down the cost of each run so the team can iterate more.
• Model infrastructure. Self-hosted and multi-provider models, plus the evaluation and replay harness research depends on.

Bring your strengths. You don’t need all of these.

We hire for real strength in one or more of these, and the ability to grow into the rest.

• Backend and infrastructure engineering with a reliability mindset: cloud, containers, queues, CI/CD.
• MLOps: model serving, evaluation infrastructure, experiment tracking, cost tracking.
• Experience improving system reliability and managing operating costs.
• Comfort thinking about cost and accuracy tradeoffs in numbers.

We look for strong analytical thinking, careful execution and a willingness to learn across disciplines. You should be able to reason with data and uncertainty, explain your decisions, and take ownership of your work from an initial idea through implementation.

Location: New York City · Hybrid · Full-time

Salary: $140,000 - $200,000 per year
