Senior AI/ML Engineer
About Infinity Loop
Infinity Loop is a venture-backed AI SaaS startup that empowers companies to take control of their third-party vendor relationships. Our platform ingests contracts from external vendors and uses advanced AI models to generate negotiation strategies and legal risk insights—helping customers save money and mitigate risk during renegotiations.
We’re a small, product-focused team with a huge vision: revolutionizing how enterprises manage external spend and vendor agreements. If you’re excited by greenfield challenges and want to help build foundational systems from the ground up, you’ll feel right at home with us.
What You'll Do
- Architect the AI stack – select models, vector stores, and cloud infrastructure; laying the groundwork for a scalable and secure AI pipeline
- Own the whole pipeline – data ingestion, cleaning, training, evaluation, deployment, monitoring, and fine-tuning
- Operationalize AI – CI/CD for models and data, reproducible experiments, drift alerts, and usage dashboards
- Optimize for enterprise realities – latency, cost, PII handling, and compliance‑friendly logging
- Collaborate closely with Head of Engineering and product stakeholders to prioritize and execute high-impact work
- Make pragmatic decisions in ambiguous environments, balancing technical elegance with business needs
- Help shape the engineering culture, tooling, and processes at an early-stage company
What We're Looking For
We're looking for an experienced, hands-on engineer who thrives at the intersection of machine learning, infrastructure, and product. You’ll bring a strong foundation in ML/LLM systems and a builder’s mindset - someone who can ship fast, troubleshoot deeply, and scale what works.
Strong written and verbal communication is critical – you should be able to clearly explain design decisions, trade-offs, and system behavior to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
You might be a fit if you have:
- 7+ years of professional experience overall, including 5+ years of experience writing clean, tested, production-ready code—ideally building distributed, cloud-native services.
- 2–3 years of hands-on experience building and deploying sophisticated LLM pipelines in real-world applications: You’ve built and debugged LLM systems used in production environments, with a deep understanding of tokenization, context windows, sampling/temperature settings, and failure modes like hallucinations or drift.
- Shipped generative AI or NLP products that balance real-world constraints like latency, cost, and data privacy.
- Expertise in LLM tuning and retrieval, including prompt crafting, RAG (retrieval-augmented generation), embeddings, fine-tuning, and hallucination detection/mitigation.
- 2–4 years of broader ML/data science experience, turning raw data into models (e.g., classification, ranking, or NLP use cases).
- A ML Ops mindset, with experience in CI/CD for models, experiment tracking, and production monitoring.
- Product instincts - you work closely with domain experts, prototype quickly, and improve through iteration.
- Technical leadership skills, including setting engineering standards, writing clear documentation, and mentoring others.
- A bias for action - you unblock yourself, ship what matters, and polish to completion.
- Proficiency in ML/LLM techniques, tools, and libraries is required. You should be able to write and explain non-trivial code during interviews and in your day-to-day work.
- Excellent communicator in design docs, diagrams, and PRs, with the ability to explain trade-offs across engineering and product teams.
Nice to have
- Experience with legal tech, procurement tech, or B2B SaaS a plus
- Contributions to open-source LLM tooling or published blog posts / papers.
