At Infinity Loop, we build Negotiation Intelligence that connects contracts, proposals, supplier context and market data to help procurement teams identify leverage and develop commercial negotiation strategies. Reliable data and traceable evidence are central to the product we’re building.

You own the analysis a customer takes into a negotiation. The near-term focus is pricing and market benchmarking: developing relevant comparisons and defensible should-cost estimates, with evidence behind each result. There is a lot of open scientific work here. You propose the problems worth solving, then solve them.

What would you build?

• Market benchmarks. Pricing datasets, the comparison logic, and methods tuned to each spend category.
• A benchmarking playbook. Combine should-cost estimates and relevant market comparisons to inform negotiation strategy.
• Advice beyond the number. Category and tail-spend analysis, and recommendations on what to do next.
• Repeatable methods. Turn past analyst work into a general method anyone can rerun.

Bring your strengths. You don’t need all of these.

We hire for real strength in one or more of these, and the ability to grow into the rest.

• Quantitative modeling and applied statistics: you can defend a number with evidence someone else can audit.
• Pricing, benchmarking, valuation, or a similar quantitative field.
• Applied ML for analysis and ranking problems.
• Enough engineering to prototype your own analysis, and curiosity about procurement.

We look for strong analytical thinking, careful execution and a willingness to learn across disciplines. You should be able to reason with data and uncertainty, explain your decisions, and take ownership of your work from an initial idea through implementation.

Role: Applied Scientist / Quantitative Analyst, Pricing and Benchmarking

Level: Mid to senior.

Location: New York City · Hybrid · Full-time

Salary: $140,000 - $200,000 per year

Benefits: Medical, dental, and vision coverage, plus paid time off
